Dr. Asif Mumtaz Sukhera, HI(M), a lifelong advocate for public health, has devoted his career to strengthening healthcare access across Pakistan. After decades of leading medical missions and health systems, he turned his focus to maternal and newborn survival — the most urgent, underserved front of care. As Founder & CEO of Sakinah Health Foundation, he champions dignified, community-based healthcare for women and children. With deep expertise in public health and hospital administration, he brings strategic vision to every level of system reform — from grassroots interventions to national health policy.
Dr. Sadia Malick

Every mother deserves the dignity of safe childbirth. My work with Sakinah Health Foundation is rooted in the belief that no woman should be left behind due to lack of access, awareness, or support.
Bio
Dr. Sadia Malick, a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, left her homeland but never forgot the mothers she served. Determined to give back, she founded initiatives like distributing Clean Birthing Kits (CBKs) and “Man with the Van,” a transport solution for expectant mothers recognized under USAID. During the 2022 floods, she partnered with Al Khidmat to establish 10 maternity homes and distribute 5,000 CBKs, laying the foundation for Sakinah Health Foundation . With a career spanning the UK, UAE, and Saudi Arabia, she now leads gynecology at KFSH&RC Riyadh. As Sakinah Health Foundation ’s founding advisor, she remains committed to reducing maternal and newborn mortality.

Maj Gen (R) Dr. Viqar Ahmed Khan, HI(M) brings a lifelong commitment to equitable healthcare, shaped by service in remote conflict zones and leadership in national medical institutions. A specialist in Family Medicine and medical administration, he has championed healthcare innovation — from frontline military care in Siachen to founding nursing and allied health programs. As a board member of Sakinah Health Foundation, he channels his decades of clinical and public health experience into advancing maternal and child health in underserved communities.

Dr. Zahra Asif Sukhera, FCPS, is a pulmonologist and maternal health expert dedicated to serving vulnerable women and children. Her journey began at Rawalpindi Medical University through outreach in underserved communities. With hands-on experience in deliveries, NICU emergencies, and pediatric care, she served in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and remote Balochistan. A mother herself, she joined Sakinah Health Foundation in 2022, personally supporting beneficiaries and addressing anemia, breastfeeding, and reproductive health. Fluent in Pashto, she ensures accessible care across cultures. As a Board Member at Sakinah Health Foundation , Dr. Zahra continues to lead impactful maternal and child health initiatives nationwide with compassion and commitment.

With over 27 years in operations and outreach, he drives strategy, systems, and service innovation at Sakinah Health Foundation. From building national diagnostic networks to strengthening postgraduate training in pediatrics and gynecology, his work has consistently expanded access to quality care. As General Manager of Operations and Business Development, he ensures that every initiative is rooted in sustainability — and reaches the communities that need it most.

Engr. Nabeel Tahir, a graduate of NUST, leads technology-driven maternal and child health interventions with a sharp focus on scale and systems. At Sakinah Health Foundation, he expanded outreach from 3 to over 50 sites across four provinces within a year—digitizing data collection and enabling real-time monitoring of health outcomes. Deeply rooted in fieldwork, he collaborates with community workers, NGOs, and healthcare partners to build responsive, sustainable programs. With a strong belief in tech as a tool for equity, Nabeel is driving innovation that brings critical care closer to mothers and newborns in underserved regions.
